SUDDATH INTERNATIONAL IS NOW ISO 9001:2008 CERTIFIED
Feb. 1, 2011 -- All organizations would like to improve the way they operate, whether that means reducing costs, increasing market share, risk management, or boosting customer satisfaction. In order to improve the way an organization operates, it is necessary to develop a quality management system, thus providing a framework to observe and enhance performance.
The International Organization for Standardization (ISO), the world's largest developer and publisher of International Standards, has published over 18,000 International Standards. ISO 9000, the family addressing Quality Management, is by far the world's most established quality framework, currently being used by 1,064,000 organizations in 178 countries worldwide, and sets the standard not only for quality management systems, but management systems in general.
Suddath International received ISO 9001:2008 certification on January 19, 2011. The 9001(updated in 2008) provides a set of standardized requirements for a quality management system. It is the only standard in the family against which organizations can be certified.
The process and certification, which took an entire year to complete, would not have been possible without the dedication of Devorah Allen, Suddath International's Quality & Metric Manager and Julie Pasqual, who assisted with the internal auditing.
The 9001 certification will offer Suddath many unique benefits and competitive advantages. These include, but are not limited to:
Subsequently, the ISO team will focus on the 14001 certification, Environmental Management System.
